From the moment that were greeted at the entrance of Turquoise Place with smiling faces and pink shirts…We knew that the week was going to be amazing. All the stress left and a peace flooded my soul. We met our Volunstar – Leslie Ellis and were treated like royalty ! We didn’t have to worry about anything. ..Every detail was taken care of. This week allowed us to laugh together, cry together and make amazing memories that we will forever treasure. We needed this week more then we realized. The last 7 years of fighting cancer has taken a toll on us in more ways than we can count. Alan and I had lots of moments to reflect on life and be thankful for all that we have overcome and reconnect. It allowed us to dream again!!! We were refueled, revived and able to Thrive!!! From conquering the paddle board to playing Mafia by the pool at night…every moment was amazing! Each morning as I walked on the beach at sunrise and spend my time with God…It was like heaven on Earth.. I was able to see God’s beautiful creation with fresh eyes. I got confirmation of my purpose on this Earth.. My purpose is to share My Story…to give people the Hope of Jesus and to know that I can make a difference. To encourage women fighting to know that God’s got it and the journey can be beautiful if we so choose. We will THRIVE and not just Survive!!
Little Pink is such a life giving organization. Thank you to Jeanine, Kathy, Keith, Robi and every Volunstar for making this week happen. They kept “thanking” us for coming but we are the ones that are THANKFUL! Thank you for giving your time to make us feel welcomed and loved. Thank you for going above and beyond. Thank you for allowing Christ to be in the center of all that you do. Thank you for giving us time to slow down, rest and breath. It was a pleasure and and honor to have met each one of youl. We are very blessed to be part of the Little Pink family. This is just the beginning of our Little Pink journey! We can’t wait to be a Volunstar and give back.
