Our world tilted on its axis in 2017. A liver transplant (dad) and a Stage 2 breast cancer diagnosis (mom) changed our family landscape. The Stage 4 diagnosis hit just before my “five-year” mark and we were rocked again. We began, as a family, to live for the day. Vacations are meticulously planned with strict budgeting and research of available medical care. This phenomenal Little Pink retreat at Key West was the first time in seven years we ALL relaxed and just went with the flow. The activities available were amazing and when I was not up to participating, the rest of my family was welcomed with open arms and “adopted” by not only the retreat volunteers, but the other families as well. I have not come home from a vacation or weekend away as relaxed and ready to tackle the day as I was following this retreat. Thank you so much Little Pink!!
