Today began with an awesome boat ride on the lake where some fished, some tanned and all came back relaxed. Thank you to Swigards True Value Hardware Store for their donation of the fishing equipment. Meanwhile, some of the ladies got together for some much needed girl time that included a cup of coffee at Syd’s and shopping! We had lots of fun checking out the stores and there was even a local Farmers Market that had lots of yummy organic fruits and vegetables. While the parents were away the children got to play with our Volunstars at the lakefront park in the glorious sun.
All of this was followed by a fantastic lunch at Rosie’s Café with our own private dining area. The food was great and the company superb. Thank you Rosie’s!! It’s amazing how well we have all bonded with one another after just 4 short days! We ended the day at John and Cynthia Lovewell’s gorgeous lakefront home. We were so grateful to them for opening up their home to our families. We had a wonderful barbeque and professional photographers Lynda and Mike Kennedy came to take photos of our families that they will have to treasure forever. Photographs were completed just in time as we were met by a torrential down pour and a rainbow across the lake. We laughed while scrambling for shelter and said our goodbyes until we meet again tomorrow for our next adventure.
