The first full day of the 2013 Myrtle beach retreat was a blast. We had the morning to sleep in and then met for lunch provided by the Barbecue House at the Ocean Lakes Rec Center. After the meal, we went to Georgetown for a boat ride where we were lucky enough to get a tour and learn a history of Georgetown from Captain Rod. On the boat ride we saw many different Bald Eagles flying over the water. A long enjoyable boat ride took us to to a place called Shell Island where there were all kinds of different shells and wildlife to be found. From starfishes to Horseshoe Crabs everyone found something that they could take home.
As soon as we were done with our boat tour and sea shell hunting we went back to the Rec Center for an Italian dinner. Special thanks to Surfside Beach Club for providing us with dinner. It was Game Night after the delicious meal. We all played the game Celebrity which  was a chance for all of the families to share lots of laughs and learn about each other.
