The event today was far from ordinary. A little terrifying, a little exhilarating, and a lot of bravery! In true New York style, today’s event was about doing something daring! Thanks to the Trapeze School of NYC for their instruction on how to fly! The event truly reminded everyone that even when you have cancer, sometimes you have to just let go and live! The event also included some serious stilt instruction and juggling for anyone who could keep their eye on the ball.
It was great to see Vicki, Michelle, and Maria- all LPHOH moms from the city! And a special thanks to ViverHealth for sharing their information with all of our participants.
PS. Ramblings from the road: We had to climb very high to do the trapeze today. At the top of the platform, my heart was racing. Racing in a good way! I realized that sometimes to be brave, you have to wait, take a couple of deep breaths and then trust that the 105 lb girl behind you will hold all of your weight as you stretch out over the platform. They say to put all 10 toes on the edge. At READY, bend your knees and at HEP, go over the edge. I think I need more HEP in my life! That crazy place between terrifying and joyful!
