Two years ago, I remember the White family coming to the Oak Island retreat and falling in love with them. I talked about God with Michelle, Music with Mike, and everything else under the sun with Maddie and Mia. In fact, to this day, I still give Mia credit for helping me get rid of my fear of being on a boat by telling me to be brave. Never underestimate the power of the simple words, “come with me” to move other people.
So I was thrilled when I knew that I would get to come to their hometown of Edina, Minnesota and reconnect and share the Little Pink story. The event was hosted by Methodist Hospital.
The night was wonderful and two other LPHOH Minnesotans from Duluth showed up and it was a joy to meet them! The night may have been cool in Minnesota, but the evening warmed your heart!
The White’s have succesfully raised enough to send two families on a retreat! What a wonderful gift!
And then today, it was off for a long drive to Kansas City!
PS.. ramblings from the road: Ok, so seriously- all of you moms out there that have girls have been holding on to one of the greatest secrets ever! As a mother of only a boy, I was ABSOLUTELY LOVING all of the girl affection- the hugs, the cheers when you get to the door, the compliments on your earrings, your hair, how beautiful you are and on and on! Maddie and Mia gave me the biggest confidence booster! And that is the secret that I believe you moms of girls are keeping from the rest of us- you have your own little cheerleaders!
