BURLINGTON, N.C. — It’s something the Piedmont Triad area does well, really well: BBQ.
 
And on Sunday, people ate chicken BBQ to help a good cause. Tickle My Ribs BBQ Restaurant in Burlington is hosted “Q for a Cause.”
It’s the first year for the charity event, which was held in the parking lot and featured bands, dancers, monster trucks, a DJ, inflatables, vendors, T-shirt sales, raffles and a silent auction.
But most importantly, they sold BBQ chicken plates. All the proceeds will benefit Little Pink Houses of Hope in Burlington and the Alight Foundation of Guilford County.
More than 1500 people attended the festival.
