When you come to Lake Tahoe, their is an amazing beauty that exists.  But it is more than that.  There is a balance that you feel- a sense of calmness, peace, and an awe at the beauty that you know is way bigger than each person’s own existence.  Today the 9 Little Pink families at the Lake Tahoe retreat got to experience Sand Harbor and it was a morning full of wonder thanks to Jay and the Nevada State Park system!


 
After leaving our footprints all over the rocks and beach at Sand Harbor, the Little Pink families enjoyed a wonderful lunch provided by St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Incline, NV.  The volunteers spoiled us and reminded us that when we only see one footprint in the sand, it is then that God is carrying us.

 
And the day ended with a wonderful dinner at Moe’s BBQ on the lake and a rip roaring game night that had everyone knee deep in shaving cream, toilet paper, skittles, and balloons!  Our kids even got special goodie bags of toys provided by Swigards True Value Hardware!  It was so great to see all of the smiles, hear the laughter, and settle in to a week of no worries!
