“There are moments, when you’re getting to know someone, when you realize something deep and buried in you is deep and buried in them, too. It feels like meeting a stranger you’ve known your whole life.” Leah Raeder, Unteachable
Today was a wonderful day at the beach there was not a cloud in the sky. Beach day always gives everyone the chance to connect and get to know one another.
Shaving cream and water games brought smiles and laughter. When is the last time you were covered in shaving cream? Needless to say everyone had a blast!
An assortment of boxed lunches were provided by Carol Peck and Charlie DeBrito. Some ate right on the beach and some took theirs home. It was delicious!
The Fort Fisher Aquarium opened their doors especially for Little Pink. The families were able to have full range of the aquarium and loved every moment of it. The Aquarium staff donated their time to share what they know about all of the sea creatures and serve us dinner by the huge tank. Kate Weiss and Bob Campbell of Kate’s Pancakes donated a wonderful meal like they always have done on this special night.
We cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings; we can only imagine the deeper connections people will make.
