Being part of the Little Pink Houses of Hope family is truly a blessing. Everyone may not be related by blood but they will be bonded together forever.
What an amazing day. Clear skies, gentle breeze and beautiful sunshine helped to kick off the fun day of paddle boarding. Thank you to Ocean Cure and their amazing instructors, Chris, Matt, and Haley who shared and donated their time and talents to teach us to paddle board. Everyone joined in on the fun from grandmas to babies. A delicious lunch was provided by the Trinity United Methodist Church women’s group. A great big shout out to Carol Kirsche who organized and delivered the lunch.
The families were able to enjoy some quality time together before heading to Shagger Jack’s for dinner. Appetizers and a delicious meal along with laughter, fun, and bonding were served. Owners, Blake and Robin Shelton continue to amaze us with their love and generosity every year.
Next stop was the First Baptist Church where, Carrie Herstine and her son Henry, who is a breast cancer survivor and Little Pink retreat recipient hosted a desert social and game night for the survivors and their families. Everyone had a great time being silly at the photo booth and creating their own unique hand print for a special surprise to be revealed at the end of the week.
Tomorrow promises to be another wonderful day full of fun activities, laughter and love.
