Uglie Mugs Coffee Shop hosted a coffee breakfast for our cancer survivors this morning, giving them time to connect with each other, share their stories and experiences, and grow as a Little Pink Family. Right next door to the coffee shop is Studio 12, a unique little art studio specializing in pottery, mosaic, and jewelry. They invited our Little Pink families to either paint some pottery or create a mosaic masterpiece after coffee this morning. Everyone was so focused on their artwork; the vibes were calm, peaceful and relaxing. It turns out we have some professional artists on this retreat! I’m sure everyone is excited to see how their pieces came out once put through the kiln! Thanks to Hatteras Island Christian Fellowship for making us some awesome sandwiches and pasta salads for lunch today! They were a big hit!

After a relaxing, artistic morning, our families had the day to themselves to rest and spend time together before heading out to dinner. Tonight was our Date Night! Parents dropped off their kids at Hatteras Realty for an entertaining Pirate night, while they went out to some local restaurants; Ketch 55 and The Mad Crabber.

Staff from Hatteras Realty organized a fantastic Pirate themed night for our kid’s night tonight, with real pirates, booty and all. Nino’s Pizzeria donated pizza to the kids, and once we filled our bellies, we played games all night long! (Until their parents came to pick them up that is!)
