There was a chill in the air but that didn’t stop the fun from happening in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The families participating in the Little Pink retreat rolled with the weather front and the changes that created opportunities to explore the Grand Strand area and the many amenities offered by Ocean Lakes. The children’s laughter filled the indoor swimming pool as they swam and played games with the volunstars.
Meanwhile, the mom’s enjoyed a moment of relaxation by receiving a massage from Debbie Budz, a local massage therapist. Yet several other families took advantage of the free tickets provided by Ripleys Haunted House and explored the Grand Strand. No matter what activity was taken advantage of, there was a great deal of fun to be had by all.
That fun continued into an evening filled with a fabulous meal provided by Surfside United Methodist Church. The families felt pampered by the tentativeness of the church members and the special gifts they provided for the families. After the meal, there was fun and games to be had by all. Fathers competed against fathers, children against children, and families against families in a series of challenges that left everyone catching the contagious JOY that filled the atmosphere. All in all, it was a blessed day and a great start to the weeks retreat.
