Kayaking was the activity that started the day. Special thanks to Rebecca and Karen of the Oak Island Rec Center who provided the kayaks and went down the river with us. The river was a great place to relax for all of the Little Pink families. Floating through the marsh we were met with beautiful scenery of plants and wildlife at every turn.
After a leisurely day on the river the families arrived one by one at the Volunstar house, to have family pictures taken. Melissa Lynn Hunt made it a great experience for everyone on the beach. Tacos and Black Bean Soup were cooked and served by the Volunstars. Once we finished our ice cream sandwiches everyone took the opportunity to spend quality time in conversation or playing games.
