Have you ever tried something and been very scared that you might not make it? Have you ever reached far beyond your comfort zone until you realized that fear was the uncomfortable zone and what you have accomplished is where you would rather live?
Today at the LPHOH Lake Tahoe Retreat, the Ropes course at Tree Top Adventures proved to be a wonderful activity to help reinforce that inner champion in all of us! At the end of the day, we said, “The next time you are sitting in chemo and your don’t feel strong, remember just how strong you were today!”
After professional photographs (and not so professional here), we were treated to a wonderful final evening at the Lovewell home.
It was only fitting that after a week of developing a very strong knit family, that we finished with our final goodbyes in a home with a beautiful family that welcomed us as family right away! Dinner was provided by the Red Truck Organic Taco Truck!
And at the end of the retreat one thing is clear. That just like the ropes course, your have to approach your cancer journey one step at a time. The difference now is that our LPHOH participants now have a brand new Little Pink family supporting them on their course. Thanks to the amazing Lake Tahoe community for their outstanding support this year!
