Baltimore, June 11, 2014:  Heavy Seas Brewery Event The very first event!  In case you have not heard, Little Pink is on the road this summer reaching out to former LPHOH alumni, volunteers, and supporters throughout the entire United States!  Our first event was today in Baltimore and what a wonderful experience for the local community to better understand the mission and vision of LPHOH and to have a chance to show their support.  And, on top of that, it was like a Little Pink Alumni Event!  We had 4 LPHOH female participants attend- one from each year!

Thanks to Heavy Seas Brewery for welcoming us with open arms and for TekSystems for their support.  It was so wonderful to get to know so many new people!  A special thanks to Donna Stokes for sponsoring the food!

Thanks to Jesse and Brooke for doing a wonderful job organizing the event and securing great gift baskets for attendees!

The grand total for tonight’s event was $2,010! (that also happens to be the year that we started!)   Great job Baltimore!

Our next stop on Thursday is just north of Baltimore at the Jacksonville Elementary School which is having a Little Pink Beach Party!  We are so looking forward to meeting the wonderful faculty, students and volunteers!

PS.. ramblings from the road:  I woke up this morning and this was the Bible verse for the day:  And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:5   I cannot think of anything more appropriate for today and simple to remember on the trip that this one idea.  Through God, hope exists!  So happy to be sharing hope with others!
