Day four of the 2015 Key West Little Pink retreat started off with a nice fresh cup of coffee courtesy of The World’s Best Blue Flamingo, which provided a refreshing cup of java coupled with etching lessons, as our participants were able to create their own designs.
Following coffee, our families headed over to the Key West Community Sailing Center, where they learned under the tutelage of Commodore Jeff and his volunteers how to sail on the waters. Many families loved going out and relaxing on the water. Some even decided to try their hand at kayaking as well!
In the evening, Little Pink was pleased to have Mayor Cates join us in a Hawaiian-themed tiki party. The Mayor and his wife, Cheryl, were on hand to issue a proclamation declaring that the 3rd week of June is officially Little Pink Houses of Hope Week in Key West!
As the hours passed by tonight, laughter and memories swept the air. A special shoutout to Cynthia and Curt Buchanan, who allowed us access to their house for an unforgettable tiki party! While there, our families enjoyed the opportunity to talk and get to know each other better. In fact, some of our participants this week even got to learn the Hawaiian Hula. Then, for dinner, Team Little Pink led the way in preparing an amazing luau meal. Then, to top it off, our families were treated to a delicious dessert courtesy of Cupcake Sushi, as everyone loved the company’s unique spin on sweets.
Day 4 of the Little Pink retreat in Key West was certainly unforgettable. Now, we await to see what the final day holds!
