I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to be surrounded by people who understand what you have been/ are going through. This is true for my husband as well. A lot of the time all the focus is on the person with the cancer, people forget that our caregivers are going through a very hard time as well. The chance to take a little break from real life, have time with our loved ones, be surround by loving volunstars and get to participate in fun activities was priceless.
