The kindness and generosity shown to my family and the other families on the retreat with us was immeasurable.

My family and I were selected to attend the first LPHOH retreat in CT, along the SE shore. What a week! I had the most difficult year of my life leading up to our retreat, and our time in Mystic with LP was exactly what my family needed to reset. Every aspect of the vacation really was perfect for our family. For starters, being local was what allowed us to go on the retreat, as I still have health issues that would make it difficult to be too far from my care team. Planning activities for my family has become more and more difficult for me, so having our week mapped out for us allowed my family to get out and enjoy things we otherwise wouldn’t have done. Don’t mistake me, while the week was organized beautifully by LPHOH, you certainly didn’t have to attend everything planned. To be honest, going in, I wasn’t sure if we would attend everything, but my children loved being around the other families and all of the Little Pink Volunstars. My little 6-year-old just loved the extra eyes and hands watching him, which was a really big deal for me, too. He often has energy I just can’t match! Our home was so lovely and comfortable, we enjoyed our time relaxing there as well.
The kindness and generosity shown to my family and the other families on the retreat with us were immeasurable. The Volunstars were all so special. They helped with what we needed and slipped into the background often to allow for family time. Thank you, LPHOH. You provided my family exactly what we needed, a stress-free week allowing us to really soak everything in. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
