I am thankful to have had the opportunity to enjoy life again. I forgot what it was like to be free and be me.

To know true love is to know true fear. The fear of leaving & losing those you love the deepest.
Breast Cancer at a young age with a family is hard (who am I kidding its hard all the time). My husband and I own a small family business. It is extremely hard for us to take family vacations. Being out of the shop for months due to treatments & surgeries I thought for sure I wouldn’t see a relaxing day for a long time.
Then I found Little Pink, a free vacation for breast cancer families. How did I not know about them before? I was very anxious about the trip, and I am not one to shine the light on myself or tell my story to people I do not know. I walked into the first day unsure of what was to come. What did I get my family into? We left the first dinner with renewed spirits, open hearts, and a whole group of new friends.
Chemo, hair loss, and double mastectomy at 33 years old with a 10-year-old daughter and no prior family history was shocking, to say the least. Meeting these women at the little pink retreat and hearing their stories, and meeting their families was inspiring and empowering. All the little pink volunstars and staff that helped make this trip possible you are amazing. I hope you know the impact you have made on my life! I am thankful to have had the opportunity to enjoy life again. I forgot what it was like to be free and be me.
