Tuesday’s gray skies prevented paddle-boarding, but that didn’t stop our friends at Rehoboth Bay Sailing Sailing Association from opening their facilities for our indoor activities. There was corn hole, ladderball, boardgames, and lots of coloring. The kids’ bright spirits weren’t dampened by the weather.
After a free afternoon, participants and their families were invited to the Bethany Beach Fire Department where a garage was converted into a dining hall by our diligent volunstars. Ann and Joe Raskauskas donated a traditional blue crab dinner complete with mallets and paper towels for sticky fingers. It was a feast for the stomach as well as the eyes seeing a room of cancer patients and their families laughing, smiling and sharing stories is what LPHOH is all about.
