On the beginning of day 2 on the Buxton, NC retreat the first words of the volunstars  morning devotional “I am with you and around you, encircling you in golden rays of light”.   With all the rain in NC recently, we rejoiced in reading those words and God truly delivered.

We started our day with a hot hardy breakfast and off to the beach we went.  Chairs, hats, sunblock and snacks all in tow as we headed out for a day of fun in the sun. While we all had our toes in the sand, most took turns to take advantage of the opportunity to get pampered with a stress relief message. Leeann Swanner of Koru Village Resort and Spa donated her magical talent and got our couples right into relax mode. Our couples also enjoyed the many amenities Croatan Ridge has to offer. They spent time in the pool and hot tub, some of the guys even flew a kite on the dock.

  The volunstars  prepared a big Mexican dinner. We are glad Connors Supermarket is right  around the corner. Becky and Travis continue to support us with  their kindness and generosity.

   After dinner Ginny Flowers and Diane Wilson of Cloud Nine in Nags Head came to teach our couples to make jewelry. Fun was had by all, they created wire wrapped sea glass jewelry,  some even used the shells they had found  on the beach today. There were laughs galore and friendships made, it’s going to be a great week.
